My first time photographing a wedding was for very close friends that saw my B&W work from Photo 1. Which I was not particularly proud of. However I got the job to photograph it and sure enough I did. I over prepared and worked my butt off on it. I had a time log of every pose and how long we had to work on each pose to get them just right.
It went really really well. Everyone was having fun and we went so quickly through all the photos that we had 15 minutes for the bride and groom to relax before the ceremony. By the end of the night about 1 hour after the wedding, I went home downloaded the photos to my computer and did some small edits and posted their wedding photos to Facebook by the 2nd hour of leaving.
The bride and groom went crazy for it, their family, friends and everyone loved it. Seeing over 100 photos from their wedding day that happen just hours ago was definately a highlight moment for them. The rush of getting some of the most important photos of their life, and the excitement from the bride and groom's family was enough for me to want to continue on with wedding photography.
And so I did. :)
